MKEC is looking for a Storm Water Engineer at our Oklahoma City location to assist in storm water calculations and modeling of a wide variety of projects, including site development, transportation and municipal projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine drainage area and runoff calculations.
  • Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic models for both open and closed drainage systems.
  • Analyze and design storm water detention facilities.
  • Perform hydraulic analysis of existing and proposed bridges.
  • Assist in preparation of FEMA Letters of Map Change.
  • Coordinate and oversee preparation of construction plans for various drainage improvements.
  • Prepare drainage reports.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • 3-8 years of experience
  • Proficient user of HEC-RAS, Hydraflow, HY-8, HEC-HMS and other relevant software modelling systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills are required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • PE license in Oklahoma is preferred. (Or ability to obtain said license in a timely manner).
  • Knowledge of local standards and requirements is also preferred.
