MKEC Contributes to Wichita Biofuel Hub

A global agricultural company is poised to open its first biodiesel plant in Kansas, positioning Wichita as a competitive supplier in the biofuels market. MKEC played a key role in this $90 million project by helping to expand and convert the company’s existing edible oil refinery just north of Old Town to biodiesel production. To bring our client’s 42,000-square-foot vision to life, we drew from multiple capabilities, including civil, structural, process engineering, mechanical and piping design, and construction support services.


Integrating Teamwork with Tech to Streamline an Oil Refinery Project

A collaborative team comprised of UCI, Piping & Equipment Co. (P&E), Southwestern Electric (SWECO), and MKEC Engineering, Inc. recently designed and constructed a tail gas scrubber in the sulfur recovery complex at HollyFrontier El Dorado Refining LLC.


MKEC drives forward on the Kickapoo Turnpike

MKEC Engineering, Inc. was chosen to work on a section of the Eastern Oklahoma County Corridor project between SE 44th Street and Reno Avenue. The new Eastern Oklahoma County Corridor alignment will connect I-40 to I-44 in eastern Oklahoma County, reducing the travel time between Tulsa and Oklahoma City.


Canute Road over I-40 receives a makeover

If you ever take a stroll down historic Route 66 and find yourself in Canute, Oklahoma, take a slight detour back to Interstate 40, and get a glimpse of the bridge that MKEC Engineering, Inc. helped reconstruct into a safety compliant, aesthetically pleasing structure.
